Saidin

Saidin, The male half of the one power.... fans of Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" know what I'm talking about. Saidin has come to symbolize a large part of my life, characterized by the void, it stands for the emptiness inside us all that drives us to greater and greater heights in life, but is never satisfied. That dissatisfaction is what throws most of us into the deepest, blackest holes we can dig. Channelers of Saidin are also doomed to go mad from the taint in the stories, and so I feel this is prophetic, we are are all doomed to go mad, just from the act of being alive. Myrddraal

The point being: if you miss a few home payments, you have a very high likelihood of colliding with a police officer in the near future. But if you defraud a pair of European banks out of a billion dollars — that’s a billion, with a b — you will never be arrested, never see a policeman, never see the inside of a jail cell.
